One of the most common plumbing problems around the house, this could be due to different components inside the faucet being clogged or worn out. Depending on the faucet design the problem will vary, identifying the design is the first step in solving the problem. The different designs are: ball-type, cartridge, disc, or compression.

Compression faucets are usually found in double handle faucets. They have washers and seals that need changing from time to time, replacement parts are cheap making this faucet design the most economic.

Ball type, cartridge and disc faucets do not use these washers, they are controlled by handle these and are less troublesome than compression faucets.
